  1. Book clubs rock! What did you read?

This month I am reading "The Hounds of the Baskerville's" and "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People" for two different book clubs. One I host for homeschooled teens and so I STUDY that book so we can discuss it.

  2. oh molly, you have opened a hot topic for me. here is my can of worms:

    fact. i love book clubs.

fact #2... long distance, only on a blog book club memberships... totally suck for me.

    fact #3... and confession:
i am seriously irritated because when i picked the December book- NO ONE READ IT (nothing against, me, i am sure- it was most likely because of the month and all it entails- um, hello Christmas and new years...). and it made me frustrated that the one time i picked a book, made some thoughtful questions about it, and hoped to bond with others over it- nothing went down.
    totally lame.

fact #4... i think i should just not be in 'i heart libros'... its kinda just a mesa thing.

fact #5... i heart libros is not the only book club i have tried to stay in long distance... i tried another one- "the Radical Ladies Literary Society"... which seriously sounded awesome. and yet, it SUCKS that i cannot be at the get togethers... so i am thinking of resigning that one, too.

fact # 6... the only SUCCESSFULLY enjoyable book club for me was my ward one- because i actually went to the social get togethers after reading the book. thus, my point- you have to be in one that contains LOCALS. its a must.

hows that for an essay, eh?

anyways... i am jealous that you got to hang out with cool people and enjoy cheesecake factory... sounds flippin' awesome :)

  3. Cheesecake and no kids around you can't beat that!

The same thing happened with the book I choose and with 1984 which I really wished we had discussed! But I think that is how it goes, you read some you don't. I have tried to read all the books but some I just can't get into and others I just don't have the time.

  4. Oh Holly, I'm sorry your month didn't work out. It was a super crazy month so don't take it personally. I thought the whole online discussion would work with having a blog but it was actually a lot funner (more fun) to meet.

Did you get the chance to read Austenland?

Don't give up on us! =)

  5. OKAY, SO WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO? I mean, I know some people would pay good money to be in this group!
